I do not enjoy buying sweaters. Or tops. I even hated buying trousers so much, I stopped wearing them altogether. But oh, boy, I really do enjoy buying shoes. I even have a shoe ritual: whenever I buy a beautiful new pair (ie something I do not actually need but rather enjoy as much as someone else might enjoy an original work of art or a postcard), I put them in my vintage shop counter for a few weeks so I can admire them in their perfect, unworn state. Every now and then, I take them out and look at how they have been constructed and skillfully put together. I am definitely a shoe person.
Although shoes are a lovely thing, that is not what this post is about at all. No, this post is about having beautiful feet to go in them.
As I have written earlier, I use the footner a few times a year to make mine look nice-ish. But it takes a few weeks to get the right results and sometimes you really need immediate results. Without too much hustle. We all have nicer things to do with our time than spend it on feet, don’t we?
While spending a lovely weekend in London, I discovered something that would soon change my life (and my boyfriend’s): dr Scholl velvet smooth express pedi. ‘What is that?’ I hear you ask. Well, its quickly rotating foot file which will make your feet’s dry and dead skin fly in the air (literally, so keep a hoover at hand) and leave you with beautiful silky smooth feet. It’s very easy, takes more or less 30 seconds per foot, lightweight enough to be packed in a suitcase and it just works so well, that it’s now one of the first things I say when I bump into someone I haven’t seen in a while.
Yes. Stepping in and out of your shoes will never be the same: from now on it will look like Cinderella trying on her glass slipper in front of her stepsisters instead of the other way around…
